Background: Internal marketing motivates the domestic customers by meeting their needs. Employee-driven work systems can improve the capabilities and motivations of the workforce to perform better in the organization. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of internal marketing and employee-driven work systems on job satisfaction with respect to job attractiveness.
Methods: This cross-sectional correlational study was conducted in Yazd shahid sadooghi Hospital in 2017. The participants included 384 hospital staffs. The probability sampling method was applied to select the participants and the data collection instrument was a questionnaire. Furthermore, the independent t-test, ANOVA, and the correlation coefficient tests were run using SPSS 20. Then, we performed the confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling using Lisrel 8 software to verify the relationships between the variables.
Results: The findings showed that job satisfaction had a significant relationship with internal marketing and employee-driven work system. Furthermore, we found that job attractiveness had a moderator role on the relationship between employee-driven work system and job satisfaction. The relationships between the variables had significant differences regarding the participants' jobs.
Conclusion: According to the results, we can improve job attractiveness in the organization by providing the employee-driven work systems such as job rotation and independence in the organization. We also can improve job satisfaction by making the jobs attractive according the employees' characteristics.  Internal marketing and job satisfaction play important roles in individuals' success within the work environment.
