Background: Today, many organizations are facing increasing competition and market environment and customers' needs have significantly changed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of organizational agility on employees' empowerment characteristics regarding the role of forgetting and organizational silence.
Methods: The present study is an applied and analytical research which was conducted periodically in 2017. The statistical population of this study was 400 Shafa hospital personnel of Khorramabad who were selected by simple random sampling of 196 individuals. The data gathering tool was a standard questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed. Pearson correlation test was used in order to investigate the relationship between variables, furthermore, Structural Equation Modeling and Bootstrap Method were utilized in order to measure the research model and test hypothesis using SPSS 22 and Amos 22 software.
Results: The results showed that the research model has a good fit (GFI = 0.907, CFI = 0.965, RMSE = 0.065). Organizational agility has an impact on staff empowerment characteristics (r = 0.432, p = 0.000). Furthermore, forgetting and organizational silence played a role.
Conclusion: The results showed that organizational agility can be considered as an important factor in organizational forgetting management and enhancement of staff empowerment which is a necessary requirement for managers to adapt to today's dynamic environment.
