Selection of managers for the health care organizations is an important issue that should be taken into consideration by health policy makers based on meritocracy. Managerial intelligence is one of the concepts considered in the selection of managers that has different dimensions such as intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and political intelligence. For many reasons such as limitation of the health system's budget and increase of costs, economic intelligence should be added to the introduced managerial intelligence model as a separate concept
